There's something different about coffee from a moka pot.
Not rushed. Not automatic. No flashing screens or humming machines. Just heat, pressure, patience, and that unmistakable aroma filling the kitchen before the first pour.
That's exactly why we wanted to create something specifically for it.
At The Mindful Brew Co, we've spent a long time refining our blends around flavour first — not just function. So when we started experimenting with stovetop brewing, it became obvious that our standard coffee wasn't quite enough. The moka pot pulls out deep, intense character from coffee. It rewards the right roast, the right grind, and the right balance.
So we built a blend around that ritual.
A Blend Made for the Stovetop
Our new Moka Pot Blend was designed specifically for traditional stovetop brewing. Richer body. Deeper chocolate notes. Lower bitterness. A smoother finish that still cuts through milk beautifully.
And because this blend was built around simplicity and everyday brewing, we also made it fully plant-based.
Instead of collagen, we increased the Lion's Mane content — meaning every brew now contains even more mushroom goodness, without changing the flavour profile that makes a moka pot coffee feel bold and comforting.
The result is a coffee that feels classic, but with a more mindful edge.
Why the Moka Pot Still Matters
The moka pot has survived decades of coffee trends for a reason.
It sits somewhere between espresso and filter coffee — strong enough to feel indulgent, but still approachable enough for a slow morning routine. No expensive machine required. No pods. No apps.
Just coffee.
There's also a tactile side to it that people miss with modern brewing. Filling the basket. Waiting for the first gentle sputter. Pouring into a thick mug while the kitchen smells like roasted cacao and toasted nuts.
It asks you to slow down for five minutes.
That matters more than people think.
The Flavour Profile
We wanted this blend to feel warming and familiar, especially when brewed traditionally.
Expect:
- Deep chocolate notes
- Toasted nuts
- A smooth, rounded finish
- Lower acidity
- Enough strength to work beautifully with oat milk or dairy
The Lion's Mane and Reishi sit quietly in the background — adding to the ritual without turning the coffee into something "healthy tasting".
Because ultimately, this still had to taste like proper coffee.
The Set
To launch the blend properly, we paired it with the iconic Bialetti moka pot.
It felt wrong not to.
The set is designed for people who enjoy the process as much as the drink itself — whether that's a quiet morning before work, a slow weekend brew, or replacing the expensive café habit with something better at home.
Simple equipment. Thoughtful ingredients. A slower ritual.
How We Brew It
A few small details make a big difference with moka pots:
- Use freshly boiled water in the base
- Fill the basket evenly without tamping
- Brew on a lower heat than you think
- Remove from the heat as soon as the coffee begins to surge
- Stir before pouring
Done properly, you get a rich, velvety cup without harsh bitterness.
Coffee That Encourages a Pause
Modern coffee culture often pushes speed and convenience.
The moka pot does the opposite.
It slows things down just enough to become part of your day rather than something you rush through on the way to something else. That idea sits at the centre of what we're trying to build at The Mindful Brew Co.
Not perfection. Not productivity.
Just better rituals.
